2005 Charnu Winery Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2005 Charnu displays the bold flavors for which Cabernet Sauvignon is known, while also maintaining an elegance characteristic of exceptional grapes grown in St. Helena.
The nose is redolent of black fruit, baking spices and dark chocolate. The palate of the wine echoes the nose, with notes of plum sauce, soy and brioche. The wine possesses a rich mouth feel and satisfying, tactile length.
The tannins are both ripe and silky, providing a graceful structure to the wine. This wine will be delicious and ready to drink upon release, and will also respond well to aging.
