Winemaker Tasting Notes
The 2008 Charnu is a dark garnet color with a rich nose of black fruits, boysenberry and clove. The wine is already quite relaxed; it is extremely smooth and approachable. Exotic notes of cardamom and bergamot add spice to the fruit packed palate. The wine culminates with exceptionally fine and smooth tannins, which lead to a long toasty finish.. The 2008 Charnu is ready to be enjoyed now, but will also benefit from time in the cellar.
