Great Review of Charnu Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Enthusiast Magazine logo

We're delighted to report that the current releases of Charnu Cabernet Sauvignon received some great ratings in the May issue of Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon

95 Classic Napa Cabernet, with perfectly ripened blackberry, cherry and cassis fruit, nicely elaborated by sweet, smoky oak, and framed in ripe, smooth tannins. Really a lovely wine, with the balanced equilibrium to ride out the next decade.

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon

91 Cellar Selection. Dry, dramatic and rich, a Cabernet whose authoritative tannins mark it as classic Napa Valley. Beyond that are ripe blackberry and cassis flavors that are liberally oaked. Needs some time to come around, although you could drink it now with a good decant. But better 2013–2018.

And luckily (for you, at least), we still have some left!

Time to stock up, as our next release will not be until this Fall.
